Hey Duggu

Safety by design

How Duggu keeps AI learning safe

Questions and AI answers pass through required safety checks. The child’s age setting and parent choices help decide what is shown.

1 Protect

Questions are checked for personal details before they are sent to the AI tutor. Identified details are redacted where supported.

2 Review

Safety rules, the child’s age setting and parent choices are applied.

3 Select

Duggu uses restricted learning sources and age-rated current-affairs content.

4 Explain

A learning-focused answer is prepared only when the question is allowed.

5 Check

The answer is reviewed for safe content, helpful tone and age fit.

6 Support

Children and parents can report an AI answer for authorised safety review.

Trust defaults

Safety checks cannot be skipped

If a required safety check does not work, Duggu does not send the question to the AI tutor. A safe message is shown instead.

No ads or social

No ad SDKs, behavioral advertising, public profiles, chat rooms, social feeds or leaderboards.

Voice stays under child control

The microphone starts only after a tap. Your device's own speech service turns the speech into text; Hey Duggu receives only that text and never records or stores the audio.

Age-rated current affairs

Current affairs starts off and is available only in supported age modes. Content is restricted, age-rated and time-limited.

Appropriate safety review

Serious concerns are sent for authorised review. Parents are informed when it is safe and appropriate.
